Mary Magdalene

Leader of the Women's Evangelistic Corps -- Role

Mary Magdalene was won for the kingdom at Magdala through the ministry of the women's evangelistic corps, having been baptized by Peter the day after Martha and Rachel made plain to her that the doors of the kingdom were open even to such as she (150:2.2). Added by Jesus to the original ten women set apart for the work of the kingdom, she became the most effective teacher of the gospel among that group of women evangelists (150:1.1, 150:2.3). She was their chief teacher and public spokesman, as Peter was for the apostles, and after the resurrection she witnessed four of the Master's first five morontia appearances and became a leading proclaimer of his rising (190:0.5, 190:3.2).
