Mary

Earth Mother of Jesus

Mary, the earth mother of Jesus, descended from a long line of remarkable women in the racial history of Urantia, numbering among her ancestors Eve and Ratta along with Tamar, Ruth, and Bathsheba (122:1.2). Racially she was a composite of Syrian, Hittite, Phoenician, Greek, and Egyptian stocks, a brown-eyed and near-blonde woman of cheerful, ever-sunny disposition who leaned toward the liberal Hellenistic reading of the law and was an expert weaver (122:1.2, 122:5.2). An average woman of her day in temperament, she became the mother of Jesus and of his younger brothers and sisters.
