After Pentecost, We Are Never Alone

A Response to Anna Michael Krista's "Alien Possibilities in The Urantia Book"

Anna Michael Krista has written one of the most thoughtful and carefully cited explorations of the UFO question through a Urantia Book lens that I have seen in our community. Her article, "Alien Possibilities in The Urantia Book," demonstrates real scholarship. She has done her homework. Nearly every citation checks out against the source text, and her central question is the right one to be asking at this moment in history, when the alien and UFO narrative is flooding popular culture at an unprecedented scale.

I want to build on her work. Not to tear it down, but to sharpen it. Because I believe the Urantia Book gives us an even cleaner and more powerful answer to the question of what is happening in our world right now than the one she arrives at. And the key to that answer is a single event that changed everything about this planet: Pentecost.

Where Anna Gets It Right

Her "What's Unlikely" section is bulletproof. Material craft cannot get here from the Pleiades. The speed of light table she presents is devastating to the physical spacecraft hypothesis. The transport seraphim cannot carry flesh and blood bodies (39:2.13). The UB describes no wormholes, warp drives, or dimensional portals for material beings. The seven personality dimensions of 112:1.9 are dimensions of self expression, not physical dimensions a spacecraft could jump through. These are facts, and she presents them clearly.

Her observation that all mortals in the universe are erect bipeds (49:4.1) directly contradicts the Grey, Reptilian, and Insectoid archetypes of the UFO community. Strong point. Her analysis of the quarantine as a communication severance rather than a physical blockade is correct. And her recognition that the quarantine applies to celestial beings and therefore certainly applies to material ones is well reasoned.

Where she really shines is in identifying the midway creatures as a plausible source of historical "alien" encounters. The disloyal secondary midwayers could reveal themselves to mortal eyes under certain circumstances, especially the associates of Beelzebub (77:7.4). Before Pentecost, these rebel midwayers operated in the material realm in ways that would have appeared supernatural to mortal observers. This insight is genuinely creative and theologically sound.

The Pentecost Line

Here is where I believe we can sharpen the picture considerably. Anna's article moves from "What's Unlikely" to "What's Feasible" and then to "What's Probably Going On." In that final section, she proposes that our Creator Parents and concerned celestials have deliberately constructed the alien visitation narrative as a set of teaching stories designed to uplift a Godless culture into believing there is something beyond the material self.

This is a creative thesis, and I respect the thinking behind it. But I believe it attributes too much agency to celestial sources, both benevolent and malevolent, and misses the most important fact the Urantia Book establishes about the post Pentecost world.

Let me lay out what changed at Pentecost, because everything depends on this.

Paper 77, section 7, is explicit. Before Pentecost, rebel midwayers could influence inferior mortal minds (77:7.5). They could reveal themselves to mortal eyes (77:7.4). They did "many strange things on earth" for approximately 200,000 years (77:7.3). That is the period that produced every ancient mythology about demons, evil spirits, djinn, and otherworldly tormentors.

Then the Spirit of Truth was poured out on all flesh, and the book draws a hard, permanent line.

"The entire group of rebel midwayers is at present held prisoner by order of the Most Highs of Edentia. No more do they roam this world on mischief bent. Since the day of Pentecost there never again can be such a thing as demoniacal possession." (77:7.8)

Both groups of rebel midwayers, all 40,119 rebel primaries and all 873 rebel secondaries, are confirmed in custody (77:7.1-3). The rebel seraphim and cherubim who were on earth were removed at the time of Christ's death and resurrection (77:7.4). No disloyal spirit of any sort or description can ever again invade even the most feeble of human minds (77:7.8). Since Pentecost, even the weak minds of inferior mortals are free from such possibilities (77:7.7).

This is not a partial lifting of restrictions. This is a total clearing of the battlefield. Every rebel operative who could do things on this planet, who could manipulate matter, reveal themselves, influence minds, generate phenomena, is in prison. Since Pentecost.

The Rebel Leadership Without an Army

Anna mentions Caligastia and Abaddon near the end of her article as possible sources of disturbing experiences. Let me be precise about what the text actually says.

Caligastia is explicitly stated as still free on Urantia (53:8.6). But his power is profoundly limited. He "has absolutely no power to enter the minds of men, neither can he draw near to their souls to tempt or corrupt them unless they really desire to be cursed with his wicked presence" (53:8.6). Daligastia, his associate, appears to be in the same situation.

Regarding Abaddon, the text says he "was the chief of the staff of Caligastia" and "has ever since acted as chief executive of the Urantia rebels" (53:1.5). But this is a role description, not a location statement. The text never says Abaddon is on Urantia. Meanwhile, 53:1.6 tells us that upon the triumph of Michael, "Gabriel came down from Salvington and bound the dragon (all the rebel leaders) for an age." And Michael petitioned the Ancients of Days "to intern all personalities concerned in the Lucifer rebellion" (53:9.3). Abaddon could very well hold his title from detention, administrating a rebel operation that has no operational troops, no communication circuits, and a leader who cannot enter human minds uninvited.

There is one more piece of this picture that deserves direct attention, because it is one of the most striking administrative facts in the entire book. After Michael's bestowal, Lucifer was immediately imprisoned on Jerusem (53:9.2). But Satan was granted a specific exception. Michael petitioned the Ancients of Days to intern all rebel personalities, and the petition was granted "with but a single exception: Satan was allowed to make periodic visits to the apostate princes on the fallen worlds" (53:9.3). He could visit Urantia because the planet had no Son of standing in residence, no Planetary Prince, no Material Son (53:9.4). That gap has since been closed. Machiventa Melchizedek has been proclaimed vicegerent Planetary Prince, and the opening of the case of Gabriel vs. Lucifer before the Uversa courts triggered the end of Satan's visitation rights. The text is unambiguous: "Satan did periodically visit Caligastia and others of the fallen princes right up to the time of the presentation of these revelations, when there occurred the first hearing of Gabriel's plea for the annihilation of the archrebels. Satan is now unqualifiedly detained on the Jerusem prison worlds" (53:9.4). The last rebel operative with active visitation access to this planet was locked down at the moment the Urantia Book was presented, within living memory of many of its first readers. The battlefield clearance is more recent, and more total, than most people realize.

Caligastia and Daligastia are, at best, deposed administrators with a philosophy but no personnel. They cannot make lights in the sky. They cannot abduct people. They cannot generate physical phenomena. They are disembodied rebel administrators without a staff.

If Not Celestials, Then Who?

This is the question Anna's article needs to answer more directly. If the rebel midwayers are in prison since Pentecost, if Caligastia cannot touch a mind that does not invite him, if Satan himself has been unqualifiedly detained since the presentation of this revelation, if no disloyal spirit can invade even the weakest human mind, then what is generating the modern UFO and alien contact phenomenon?

The answer is us.

Humans are doing this. Through a combination of government and military operations running real disinformation campaigns, subconscious projection from a spiritually starved culture, commercial exploitation of the hunger for cosmic meaning, and voluntary philosophical alignment with an ideology that was planted on this world long before any of us were born.

Anna correctly identifies the subconscious mechanism. She cites 110:4.3, which describes how ideas group themselves in submerged mental levels and suddenly emerge into consciousness feeling foreign. She cites 91:7.3-4 about vivid psychologic presentiments being mistaken for divine communications. She cites 110:5.5-6 about the danger of attributing mortal mind emanations to the Adjuster. All of these are exactly right.

But she then pivots to suggest that our Creator Parents are orchestrating the alien narrative as a benevolent teaching program. I think this overcomplicates it. The Urantia Book already gives us the full explanation: a 200,000 year old rebel philosophy, self replicating through human culture, combined with the natural psychic projections of minds that are desperately hungry for spiritual meaning but have no framework to process it.

The Lucifer Manifesto Is Still Running

The battle cry of the Lucifer rebellion was self assertion (53:4.2). The declaration was that beings should be sovereign, free from divine authority, free from the "tyranny" of the Ancients of Days, self governing and self defining. Sound familiar?

The starseed movement tells you that you are a sovereign cosmic being. The Galactic Federation of Light tells you that Christ Consciousness is an impersonal energy you can access without accountability. The channeling community tells you that you are special, that your alienation proves your higher origin, that you do not need the authority of any external God because you are your own god.

That is the Lucifer Manifesto. Word for word. The rebels who wrote it are in prison. But the philosophy propagated itself through 200,000 years of active midwayer mischief, embedded itself in human culture and mythology, and now replicates through willing human agents who find it attractive. Caligastia does not need supernatural troops anymore. He planted the seed ideology so deeply into human civilization that humans propagate it for him voluntarily.

And here is the beautiful counterpoint. The Spirit of Truth, poured out at Pentecost, was specifically designed to lessen the self assertiveness of individuals, groups, nations, and races (194:3.18). Self assertiveness. That is the literal language. Pentecost was the direct countermeasure to the rebel ideology. Every time someone encounters the Spirit of Truth and responds to it, the Lucifer Manifesto loses a little more ground.

The Planet Is Monitored

One concern I have with both the UFO community's narrative and some of the framing in Anna's article is the implication that Urantia is somehow underprotected or that unauthorized visitors could operate here without detection. The Urantia Book describes the opposite.

Paper 114 lays out the most intensive superhuman government of any planet in the local universe. Michael of Nebadon is personally the Planetary Prince (114:0.8). A Vorondadek Most High Observer from Edentia sits permanently on the planet with crisis authority, having seized full government 33 times in Urantia's history (114:4.4). The archangels have established a divisional headquarters here with an emergency circuit that bypasses the quarantine (114:0.10, 114:5.4). Machiventa Melchizedek stands as vicegerent Prince and could arrive "any day or hour" (114:1.4). Over one billion individual seraphim are registered on the planet (114:0.2), organized into twelve specialized corps covering every domain of human civilization.

Lanaforge, the System Sovereign of Satania and successor to the apostate Lucifer, is a rebellion-tested sovereign, proven loyal during an earlier system upheaval in Nebadon (45:2.3). He is a frequent visitor on Urantia and discloses great interest in the welfare of the isolated worlds of Satania (45:2.4). He bears the distinction of being the only primary Lanonandek Son in all Nebadon who functioned loyally in the very presence of the default of a superior of antecedent rank (45:2.3).

Consider what it took just for a Melchizedek to share information about a neighboring planet with Urantia. Paper 72 opens with: "By permission of Lanaforge and with the approval of the Most Highs of Edentia, I am authorized to narrate something of the social, moral, and political life of the most advanced human race living on a not far distant planet" (72:0.1). And then adds: "it is most unusual for the system rulers to consent to the narration on one planet of the affairs of another" (72:0.2). Even sharing written information between planets requires multi level authorization from the System Sovereign and the Constellation Fathers.

If that level of administrative rigor governs something as simple as writing a paper, what does it tell us about the likelihood that unauthorized material beings are flying spacecraft through the quarantine zone of Michael's personal bestowal world, under the watch of a rebellion tested System Sovereign, a Vorondadek crisis regent, and a billion loyal seraphim?

The Real Visitors Are Already Here

The great irony is that the planet is teeming with visitors. Transport seraphim deposit student visitors on Urantia almost every day (39:4.15). Student visitors are explicitly allowed on all inhabited planets, even those in isolation (48:3.10). Enseraphimed beings stop over on Urantia in transit (39:5.10). Trinity Teacher Sons are already here doing advance planning for their future millennial mission (20:9.1). The 24 counselors make frequent individual trips to the quarantined worlds, especially Urantia (114:2.4). Thought Adjusters arrive from Divinington in approximately 117 hours, 42 minutes, and 7 seconds every time a child makes a first moral decision (108:1.9). Solitary Messengers come and go freely at incomprehensible speeds (23:3.4).

The visitors are real. They are here right now. There are over a billion of them. But they are not flying saucers. They are seraphim. And the reason you cannot see them is not a government coverup. It is because you are made of flesh and they are made of spirit.

The real disclosure the Urantia Book offers is not about little green men. It is about a universe that is infinitely more populated, more organized, more lovingly administered, and more personally attentive to each individual human soul than anything the UFO community has ever imagined. The cosmic truth is bigger than the counterfeit. It always is.

A Word for the Sincere Seekers

I have been inside these expos. I have shot video at Body Mind Spirit events where the Fellowship had outreach booths, in the United States and internationally. I have talked to the people in those rooms at length, and I have genuine affection for the sincere truth seekers among them. Many of them are doing the best they can with what they have been given.

The problem is not that they are searching. The problem is that they are being given a map with no destination. The starseed framework offers cosmic identity without moral accountability. It offers the feeling of contact without the discipline of growth. It offers self assertion dressed up as spiritual advancement.

The Urantia Book offers something harder and infinitely more valuable: a universe where your cosmic significance is real, but it is earned through the daily choice to do the will of the Father. Not given as a birthright. Not channeled from a federation. Earned, one decision at a time, in partnership with the fragment of God that already lives within you.

That is the invitation the sincere seekers are actually looking for. They just do not know it yet.

"Man is gradually backing into the truth, beginning in error, progressing in error, and finally attaining the threshold of truth." (88:4.5)

Anna used this quote to open her article. It is the perfect note to close on, too. The sincere seekers in those expo halls are backing into the truth. Our job is not to ridicule their journey. Our job is to be standing at the threshold when they arrive.
